INDUSTRIES

Pharmaceutical & Biotech

We help executives maximize the cross-functional leadership capabilities that are essential to the mission of improving consumers’ health and well-being.

Leading at the Cutting Edge of Science

The challenges faced by pharmaceutical and biotech leaders are as dynamic and complex as the industries themselves. While a sense of purpose unites these industries, complex organizational structures, diverse disciplines, regulatory requirements, and scientific innovation can test even the savviest of leaders.

We help executives and their teams effectively navigate these challenges by optimizing cross-functional collaboration, teamwork, and leadership effectiveness. Our work includes large-scale, programmatic solutions to strengthen organizational alignment as well as individual and team coaching to address needs for growth and change.

Enhance Communication

We help leaders with diverse backgrounds and expertise amplify their ability to influence diverse stakeholders and communicate with impact.

Develop Soft Skills

Our coaches cultivate the leadership skills and interpersonal effectiveness to work across multiple highly specialized, technical backgrounds.

 Bridge Disciplines

We support leaders’ ability to think enterprise-wide and foster teamwork and collaboration across scientific, regulatory, and commercial disciplines.

Demonstrate Agility

We emphasize navigating matrixed environments through negotiation and influence so leaders can foster innovation and change in the face of internal and external pressures.

Guiding a Global Health CEO Through a Purposeful Retirement

Dr. K led a global nonprofit focused on curing a specific illness for 16 years, transforming the organization’s operations and financial stability along the way. But after the prolonged strain of the COVID-19 pandemic, he was emotionally depleted and unsure how to step away.

Although he had already decided to retire, the process of leaving felt overwhelming. Together with his CHRO, he brought in an executive advisor to help him manage the emotional, strategic, and political complexity of a high-profile exit. This was not about coaching for performance—it was about planning for departure with clarity, intention, and presence. Over the course of a year, we met monthly to think through how to show up for his team without being pulled into crises, how to communicate his exit with integrity, and how to step into the next chapter of his life without guilt or second-guessing.

Dr. K retired on schedule with a sense of completion. He left on his own terms, avoided reactive decisions, and transitioned into a post-CEO life that reflects his values. He remains active in work he finds meaningful, but without the weight of the CEO title.
